Promoting local flavor is TransMart's mantra. We are focused on making each BART station reflect the individual personality of the community it serves with unique entertainment, food, art, visual highlights and expanded transit services.
We are establishing a TransMart Internet store, representing vendors located in the BART system and local vendors surrounding each station. Transit riders can order online and pick up merchandise at a concierge station of their choice.
We are providing free sponsored Internet kiosks to help those riders who need immediate connections for convenience, riders without computers at home and individuals who are sight or hearing impaired.
Our goal is to use technology to bring together a social network of transit riders that supports individual communities and makes use of their "connected" public presence. By embracing and using TransMart services, riders will save hours of errand time, better spent at home with family and friends.
